if you do something like a headless chicken, you do it very quickly and without thinking carefully about what you are doing (usually in continuous tenses) I've got so much work to do - I've been running around like a headless chicken all week. He was racing around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to do the work of two people.

Finally our Good ol Pranab Da ( aka Poltu,Dada to his near dear ones) gets to be the President. The Congress finally got its act together got every one that matters on board and   one wonders why it doesn’t happen otherwise. The government has already reverted back to its  Headless chicken antics promising plenty returning little. How come it was able to show some cohesion between perpetually antagonist incumbents imagine the left and Didi rooting for the same man. There are some including the too obvious to be worth a mention alleging massive Machiavellian manipulations .Nitish kumar was the only one who remained steady fast from the start and got rewarded in grants.Mu;ayam upped the ante joined ranks with forever nay monger Mamata  changed track for Akhilesh  he also needs money. Economics ruled over politics and he came out with a rejoinder all the fuss was to ensure Dada was the only candidate we are told .Back to our Didi betrayed and scorned she could only retort “ The game is not over”. The left came out with its support more to be relevant than anything else .Mamata keeps up the tension of this moronic play to choose a person of De Juro importance, names anyone available as a prospective president  and then meekly eats humble pie or Sandesh whatever you preffer. Well finaly the greatest opera in this country is over and the Govt is gowing slow on everything,NCP has already started to rock the boat . Ladies and gentleman back to endless tripe of  the headless chicken it is.

  At the end game we bongs can add another name to our list of bong icons .Who could have thought the trick to both Mamata and the left will be just to just pander to our  race chauvinist senses. Come elections be  sure to repay this benevolence and not  be a ingrate swine vote for congress.After all it defeated Didi and made a Bong a president  what if it has done little else.Mind you I am never implying Dada never deserved this. He could have done much more by not being Finance Minister for one. Still one has to say his CV is tad more respectable than the outgoing 12th President. She set new standards for what can be refereed as a rubber stamp .Not to mention her attempts to building international relations  burning away tax money which would have been wasted on people centric development otherwise. Tough act to follow Dada.

While we are at the mercies of our elder siblings the Didis,Dada,s . I often wonder who gets to be the new FM? Whether the hyped reforms do happen? Do we get the country back on track? Or does it go back to business as usual since congress no longer fear the govt losing legitimacy had they lost the presidential election.

While I rant and rave over all this a passing insignificant thought after watching this circus of absurd this seemingly opposed forever mandarins uniting when it comes to a question of there own personal gains. I naively wonder Could the country have gained if they have united for a little more than vote bank, coalition, political and other compulsions?I think not after all  there are no votes for the three performing factors globally recognized for governance  economic growth ,Internal external security and health care.If there are headless chicken governments then there is also tail wagged dog electorate .Every one of us have let our small tails (Caste, community ,religion  etc ) wag our voting decision to death should we complain if we are ruled by headless chicken  government.

As I end this who in the astronomically  unlikely event I might have offended given I don’t even know if any body will read this.To the bongs who feel offended by me delegating the new bong zeitalgiest icon  to my Bakwas article know this. No mater what I write I will soon be walking down a soon to be renamed road Pranab Sarani under the ever watch full glare of a bong national patriarch flanked by the statues of other Bong icons or Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
